The "Fly-agaric with luv" collection is dedicated to the mystery of life.
Much water has flowed, much has changed on the surface of the Earth, but the fly-agaric mushroom will reborn again, passing through the thickness of the soil to surprise us with its whimsical beauty.
I developed the design of the mushrooms so that their caps could rotate about their axis.
Spin the mushroom cap - and feel the passage of time, the feeling of a dream flight, choose your reality from a kaleidoscope of illusions.
Love is a whirlwind of feelings. The moment you touch the wavy "Fly-agaric with luv" hat, it will begin to rotate smoothly, reflecting your mood. On the mushroom cap you will find not only a scattering of hearts, but also a small skull. This is a reminder to appreciate every moment of time, no matter how fast it moves. Spin the fabulous hat and let anxiety go away and the current moment be filled with love for life.
The work's title is a quote from "Brother", a Russian cult film from the 90s. Speaking about Moscow as a center of attraction for everyone in Russia, I build my artwork as a child's game with a ball and labyrinth. It is interesting how many balls can get to the desired center through all the winding paths and how many of them will fit in Moscow.
"SOUL OF THE FLOWER"
Earrings
Gold, Topaz, Amethyst, Diamonds.
The theme of the award was: metamorphosis.
I am the winner of the Category A: Day & Night.
The task was: Design a jewellery piece that can take you from boardroom to ballroom. A versatile shape shifter, multi-wear design that can tranform from polished modern chic look by day to glamorous sophisticated red carpet look by night.
I called my design "Soul of the flower". It was inspired by the metamorphosis of a flower bud into a fully blossomed flower. The beauty in form and colour of a fully blossomed orchid, the national flower of Singapore, gave me the inspiration on colour play.
With the flexibility of attaching and detaching parts, my design piece can be easily adapted for day and night use. In fact, you can also use it to complement your daily office wear or highlight your beauty in formal receptions. This is achieved by the fact that the earrings consist of two detachable parts. The lower part of the earring can be removed.

SMCK Magazine's goal is to make art lovers understand the history and potential of jewellery as an art medium. It strives to bridge art and craft disciplines, to discuss contemporary social practices, and make artists aware of market basics.
The magazine also serves as a podium for indies and outsiders - gallerists, curators, artists - to address interdisciplinary art directions, sharing stories of failure and success, and showing readers different cultural perspectives on how to appreciate and use art.
